I don’t know about you, but when the weather turns colder and the leaves begin to flash the brilliant shades of autumn, my mind turns toward home, family, and SOUP! So I was happy to find a recipe for Italian Lentil Soup on my friend Holly’s Blog. The ingredients sounded hearty and the spices divine. Best of all, it was as Instant Pot recipe! Oh, how I have come to LOVE my Instant Pot especially on busy nights when I just don’t have a lot time but would still like to feed my family something homemade and yummy. So, when I saw Holly’s blog (and her beautiful children who are better at cooking than me I might add), I knew I had to give it a try. I am happy to say that Holly’s recipe was a huge hit! Because of the affordability of the ingredients, the large amount of soup the recipe makes (can you say leftovers!), and the absolutely divine flavors I highly recommend this fall soup recipe for your family too. So next time you are at the grocery story pick up a bag of lentils (super cheap and full of all kinds of healthy goodness) and some fennel seed….Because I will be honest, I had neither in my pantry!😉 And also, be sure to check out The Cooking Family for some heartwarming family recipes and ideas on how to engage your own children in the kitchen. Much love to you all!
